Important Airsoft Gear for Enjoyment and Safety

Airsoft is nearly always played outside. There is a lot of equipment involved, and this stuff is critical to being good and safe on the field of competition. So let’s just briefly go over some of the most common equipment types that you’ll want when you go to the airsoft field.

The Airsoft Tactical Vest

Not only keeping your stomach, chest and back from pain, the tactical vest can keep your hands relatively free, while providing all the ammunition, side arms and everything else you need for successful airsoft competition. Being able to carry flashlights, back up batteries, ammo, etc. can really be useful.

Using an Face Mask

This is undoubtedly the most important protection bit of equipment that is necessary for airsoft. The eyes are incredibly frail, and if you were to get hit in the eye, you might lose it. With many fully automatic and semi automatic airsoft guns out there, there is a good chance of getting hit in the face, even if you are being cautious. A full face mask is what you really need, but if not, using safety goggles is a must.

Miscellaneous Airsoft Equipment

If you haven’t already thought of them, here are some other typical airsoft items that you should think about. You may want to accompany your airsoft gun with extra magazines are a favorite shared  among many airsoft players, as being able to reload quickly is extremely important. Additional batteries and gas canisters will save you when your gun goes dry. If you are doing a night mission, using night vision goggles, red dot lasers and flashlights can really help you out. You need to ensure that you have some good fatigues and boots so that you are comfortable and able to move on rough ground in your competitions. You may even need some climbing equipment if you are playing on particularly dangerous ground.
