Planning for soccer practices requries a good soccer drill library

Monday, February 8th, 2010

One of the more important things to do as a coach is to take time to design soccer practices that fit the age and skill level of your players.  It is very important to have an extensive library of soccer drills to choose from so that practices are not predictable and mindless.  Mentally, it is important for your players to have to use their heads and pay attention to new drills becuase if drills are repeated over and over at every pracitce then players don’t use their head as much.  WIth that being said, it is also important to use drill enough so that you don’t have to explain each drill as this can lead to a waste of practive time.

A mix of shooting, passing, and agility drills are an important thing to consider when creating your practice.  Soccer shooting drills are typically more fun and can be incorporated into games as well.  This will help increase the interest and intensity level especially if there is a prize awarded to the winners.  At the same time, using a punishment such as extra conditioning, can be a great incentive.

Incorporating passing into the shooting drills is key.  Soccer passing drills seem to be less iteresting for most players, especially the younger players.  Good passing drills that allow players a reward at the end, like a shot on net, seem to excite players more than just a plain passing drill.

Of course, conditioning drills are just not much fun, but again there are games that can be played that require conditioning.  Mentally it will not be such a drag if conditioning can be turned into a game of some sort.

A good mix of drills and games is important to keep players focused and interested for all of your practices.  Make sure you are well prepared and keep practice moving to hold your players attention. Most importantly, make sure players are excited to come to your practices.

Getting Started With Investing In Real Estate Today

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Do you want to jump-start your real estate profits, but don’t know how to get started?

A thriving real estate investor solves many problems. This is the most effective way you turn into a flourishing entrepreneur. The more knowledge, contacts, and tools you have, the more solutions you can begin to offer banks and other home investors. As well as this, you will be in the lead if you can obtain leads directly, along with their unique difficulty such as a shortage of cash.

All of this means you have to promote the fact that you are in the right situation to support them while getting reliable and accurate financial and credit data to make rapid decisions before the competition tries to help persuade these people first.

If you decide it is time to jump on an opportunity, consider this business partner to assume a large part of the financial exposure:

Venture Capitalists

VC groups are typically associated with funding old school growth companies rather than real estate. However, like all investors they are looking for the highest return. If you position your deal properly and put together a compelling proposal, you may find a hungry VC firm on your team.

Did you ever try to find a lost friend on the Internet?

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

Have you ever tried to find a lost friend on the Internet? I have it is not as easy as you might think. I had a good friend in junior high and I have fond memories of hanging out having fun with him. We would hang out listen to music talk just have a great time.

The other day I was thinking about my long-lost friend and I decided to try to find them on the Internet. It seems everyone nowadays uses the Internet so I figured it shouldn’t be difficult to locate him. I pulled up Google typed his name and get pages on pages of results. I checked out page after page but didn’t find any mention of my friend just a lot of people with similar names.

I decided try to narrow my search a bit by including the town and state where we grew up. Unfortunately they were still too many pages to look through for it to be practical to find my lost friend. I decided Google just gave to many results so I would try using a less popular search engine like MSN.

I typed in my friends name and the city and state where we grew up and sure enough I did get a lot fewer results. Instead of hundreds of pages there are only eight. I started looking through those pages of results and I found a couple which I thought would surely lead me to find my lost friend. However, after an hour of searching I still came up empty.

Then I decided to try Yahoo. Since Yahoo search has been around longer than Google or MSN I thought I might have better luck there. Again I entered my friends name the city and state and this time I got about 30 pages of results. I started the arduous task of looking through each and every page and clicking on link after link. Now I was getting frustrated I spent all this time and still cannot find my lost friend.

I pretty much gave up on finding my friend until a couple months later when I discovered reunion.com. I decided to give the site a try and I was amazed at how quickly I was able to turn up results for my lost friend. The service was not free but considering the amount of time I have wasted trying to search in the regular search engines it was definitely worth the small price.

I was able to find a phone number for my friend and I gave them a call. He was very happy to hear from me. In fact, he had been searching for me also. We have a long phone conversation and it turns out that he lived close enough that we could meet for lunch. Although it was more difficult to locate my lost friend than I had imagined it was great to find him and I’m glad I put in the effort.

Is it worth using a reverse cell phone service on a strange phone call I received?

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

This is a question that only you can answer, but how badly do you need to know who owns that number?

If you have been getting nuisance phone calls then you can just report them to your local police station and they will take it from there. If you trust them to pursue it then that should be the matter finished. Of course if you really want to make sure the appropriate action is taken then you need to get in touch with the company that provides them their service. The service provider will take the matter seriously and it could lead to the person making the calls being disconnected.

You will really struggle to phone their service provider though without the use of a cell phone number lookup website as without those websites there is no way of knowing who they are with (unless you phone their voicemail and they haven’t changed their message then sometimes you can tell from that). Even though there is a small charge involved then you can’t argue that the easiest option is to use one and dig up the service provider and the name and address of the person.

Then go to the police and report them and give the name and number, then just to make sure go to the phone company too.

That is a double-whammy that ensures the person gets into trouble. That doesn’t necessarily mean the person will stop, they can get a new phone to call you from etc - but having their name gives you an advantage and if you confront them with the evidence and let them know you will just keep reporting them then most people will be too cowardly to carry on when you obviously know it is them.
