Training Your Dog to Respect Your Underground Dog Fence

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Invisible Dog Fence should never be taken as a substitute for dog training. In order to make your invisible fence effective in teaching your dog, time and patience is necessary. Aside from that, you need to follow strict rules and guidelines to make the invisible fence system work effectively.

Using the invisible dog fence training to teach your dog about his boundaries can be done on your own or with professional dog training help. You need to consider this closely, since with or without professional trainer, you need to be hands-on with this process especially when the trainer is not around.

Training the dog to recognize an invisible fence is both time-consuming and stretches your patience. However, this task is much easier when you are well-bonded together and the dog listens to your instructions.

This training system could span from 2-6 weeks, depending on how fast your dog can learn.

You can initially setup the training by placing small red flags along where you have buried the cable. If you are using Wireless Pet Fence the flags will be placed along the circular perimeter where the collar starts beeping. This will serve as physical reminder for your dog on where its boundaries are. Make sure to tape the prongs on the collar to prevent sending out shocks to your dog.

Whenever your dog is out, allow him enough freedom to roam around the boundaries. A warning beep will start off whenever it goes beyond the area, so this will ensure the dog stays within the boundaries. As soon as you hear the beep, bring your dog back and praise him for following your instructions.

Do this exercise throughout the day so the dog can get accustomed to this setup and will immediately back off when the warning beep is activated.

Once you have allowed the dog to be acquainted with this system, you can now remove the tape from the prongs on the collar to allow the shock. Although the shock is not painful to the dog, it is enough to get their attention and alert them to turn back.

It is comparable to experiencing a static shock and then you come in contact with any form of metal. You need to make necessary adjustments for the amount of shock your dog will receive, according to its size and level of response.

However, every dog owner must be aware that not all shock collars can be adjusted so make sure to purchase those with adjustable settings. Then, check the collar level to ensure that it is safe enough for your dog whenever he goes exploring outside.

When you remove the cover from the collar prongs, make sure not to remove the leash at the same time. Keep the leash on your dog whenever he explores the area within the invisible fence.

Dog training, tattoos and forex trading

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

There are many hobbies people have. However, companionship is one thing everyone needs, and many people like to have a dog as a pet. The problem is that if you have a dog, it needs to be trained, and this isn’t always really easy. It’s really something you need to learn. There are people that make dog training look like a walk in the park, then there are people that never manage to train their dog to be obedient. If you are like this, then it can be easily remedied: you can either take your dog to a professional trainer (expensive), or buy a guide online showing you how to do it.

Another thing many people like is tattoos. Tattoos are often seen as a sign of expression, since they can really say something about yourself. But where do you find really good tattoo designs? Your local tattoo parlor will have designs to choose from, of course, but these will be limited. What you can do is join an online membership site that provides designs of tattoos for you to download and take to your designer.

To pay for things like these, you can try making money off forex trading. With the current economic recession and misery everywhere you look, most people aren’t keen to invest anywhere. But you can still profit off forex in ANY economic environment if you know what you’re doing. To help you out, you can see a financial advisor, or pick up a well known stock trading robot.
